God in His holy dwelling is a father of the fatherless and a champion of widows. -Psalm 68:5

June 2021, God revealed His plan to bring the McKinley family to serve widows and orphans in Africa. Since then, God has faithfully prepared a way for our family, and we cannot ignore His call. We invite you to partner with us in this season. We believe God has established our relationship with you for His glory, and we ask that you prayerfully consider this partnership. We see this as an opportunity to strengthen the international church by building relational bridges across continents.

We invite you to partner with us in three ways: prayerfully, practically, and publicly.

sharing God's word with young men in Jinja

  • Pray. We will frequently update this blog with prayer requests and praise reports. You'll be able to stick with us if you subscribe to have our most recent prayer requests delivered direct to your inbox.

  • Practice. As volunteers, we are responsible for all our daily expenses including housing costs, school fees, food, phones, health insurance, and travel. We are relying on God's provision through our friends, family, and church body to carry out this work. Pease consider setting up a monthly donation which will help us budget and plan, and focus on our work.

  • Publish. Spread the word. Talk with your friends and family about us, about Hands at Work, and about God. We would love to talk with you more to share about what we are doing. We would love to talk with your friends and their church connections. We would love to see an explosion of partnerships between communities in Africa and our church communities across the Bay Area, California, and the U.S. Let's be an international church, not hindered by borders or differences in language or culture.
